摘要
Dry sorbent injection (DSI) technology is a low capital cost acid gas (SO2, HCl, SO3/H2SO4) control technology that is broadly utilized as a compliance solution in the power industry as well as at a multitude of industrial facilities due to new and more stringent acid gas emissions regulations. While some glass manufacturing facilities may need to install a new DSI system, numerous glass manufacturing facilities have been operating a DSI system for several years. Following the DSI system installation and commissioning process, on-going data analysis is not typically performed. However, routine data collection and analysis can help identify opportunities to optimize DSI performance (i.e. reduce sorbent consumption), generate performance correlations to operational variations or simply verify that the DSI system is providing the expected performance. This paper highlights the benefits of on-going DSI data analysis using case studies that demonstrate how data analysis improved cost effectiveness.
