Synthesis, crystal structure and electrochemical behaviour of tris(1,10-phenanthroline)zinc(II) tetrametavanadate octahydrate

摘要
In the course of investigation of vanadium complexes,the title complex was prepared in aqueous solution using VOSO4 as starting reagent. The X-ray single crystal structure analysis indicates that the crystal belongs to P (1) over bar space group with cell parameters a = 1.3523(6), b 1.4803(5), c = 1.2587(7) nm, alpha = 112.37(3),beta = 105.89(4), gamma = 83.75(4)degrees. The final R factor was converged to 0.068. The redox property of vanadium was studied in terms of the cyclic voltametric technique.
