摘要
The primary objective of this paper is to design a Bi-directional Power flow converter which comprises power flow from Electric Vehicles to Grid and a DC connection between them. This paper discusses the reactive power compensation of a grid using V2G technology. Generally, the charger operation is a uni-directional process, but with the help of process control, we can achieve the bidirectional power flow, i.e. both from the grid to the battery while charging and back to the grid from the battery while the V2G mode of operation back to the power network. From an environmental aspect, the power flow in both directions is a good improvement that leads to low carbon emissions. The single-phase bidirectional AC-DC converter and bidirectional DC-DC converter configuration are designed to transfer electric power from the grid to the electric vehicle (EV) and from the EV to the grid while maintaining an improved grid power factor. The simulation of how the process flow occurs in the grid-connected system is discussed briefly in this paper.
