摘要
This paper presents a novel high power three-phase integrated onboard charger (IBC) comprising the open-ended winding-PMSM (OEW - PMSM) to reduce cost, size, charging time and range anxiety of plugin electric vehicles (PEVs). The proposed topology effectively melds a two-leg converter (TLC) with the EV propulsion (drive) system to achieve the above mentioned features while ensuring the battery voltage regulation and unity power factor (UPF) operation. The proposed control strategy regulates the inverter currents and reconfigures the winding connections of PMSM to optimize the current stress of TLC devices. An IBC is required to ensure zero torque to mitigate the detrimental effect on PMSM life. Unlike the existing IBCs, the proposed IBC does not require specially designed motor and complicated converter structure to achieve the zero torque and flux requirement. Simulation results are presented to validate the features of the proposed IBC.
