Direct oxidation of cyclohexene to adipic acid with hydrogen peroxide catalyzed by phosphotungstic acid

摘要
In this paper, direct oxidation of cyclohexene to adipic acid with 30% H2O2 catalyzed by phosphotungstic acid in the presence of a phase transfer catalyst PhCH2N+ (Et)(3).Cl- is reported. Under the optimal conditions, cyclohexene: H2O2: PhCH2N+ (Et)(3).Cl- : phosphotungstic acid = 1: 4.5:0.036:0.0013 (molar ratio) were heated at 60 similar to 65 degreesC for 6 h and then at 80 degreesC for 5 h to give adipic acid in 87% yield. This method avoids environmental pollution produced by emerging nitrous oxide and waste acid in the oxidation way by nitric acid offen used.
