On- and off-road chassis control for tractor-trailer combinations

摘要：
Alternative solutions for specific requirements between on- and off-road drive must be found in the development of tractor-trailer chassis. A solution could be the insertion of defined forces between tractor and trailer through a top cylinder, installed in longitudinal direction above the tractor-trailer connection. While driving on the road, the system allows a pitch oscillation compensation. On uneven ground, a traction assistance is possible. The top cylinder as a replacement for the front weight is presented.
