35th Congress of the European Committee for Treatment and Research in Multiple Sclerosis (ECTRIMS)

The 35th Congress of the European Committee for Treatment and Research in Multiple Sclerosis (ECTRIMS) was held for the first time since 1998 in Stockholm, Sweden. Bernhard Hemmer, the ECTRIMS president, noted that back then, approximately 1,700 people were in attendance, compared to almost 10,000 now 21 years later. The Annual Congress provides the latest research into all aspects of multiple sclerosis (MS), including epidemiology, genetics, pathology, biomarkers, imaging, immunology, and treatment in oral and poster sessions, as well as educational sessions, throughout the 3-day meeting. The 2019 meeting was held jointly with the 24th Annual Conference of Rehabilitation in MS. This report will focus on presentations related to therapeutic treatments for MS given over the course of the congress.
