Subgroup separability of graphs of free groups with cyclic edge groups

It is shown that pi(1) of a finite graph of free groups with cyclic edge groups is subgroup separable unless pi(1) has a non-trivial element g such that g(n) similar to g(m) with n not equal +/-m. It is easy to decide from the presentation if such a conjugacy exists.
