Emerging issues in Israel: Commentaries in a global context

Communication disorders in Israel is a well-established professional field, requiring academic training and dual certification in speech pathology and audiology. Entry level is a BA in communication disorders (comparable to a MA degree in the USA) and 1 year of work under supervision. It is possible to continue studies towards higher degrees (MA and PhD). We face the same problems as in the rest of the world with need for trained professionals in the social services and the need to deal with multilingual and multicultural issues. Copyright (C) 2002 S.
