Maximization savings in distribution networks with optimal location of type-I distributed generator along with reconfiguration using PSO-DA optimization techniques

摘要
The distribution network reconfiguration and optimal distributed generator are most alternative technique for enhance the power system generation and the escalation of power demands. The optimization technique helps maximum saving after reconfiguration of radial distributed network. The combination both algorithms give better performance than the individual method. In this study combine algorithms has solved the network reconfiguration problem with in the presence of distributed generator (DG) with an objective of maximum savings and voltage profile enhancement in distribution network. A Particle swarm optimization (PSO) and Dragonfly algorithm (DA) is used to simultaneously reconfiguration and identification of optimal location for installation of distribution network. Particle swarm optimization is employed to reconfiguration and dragonfly algorithm is used to identify the optimal location distributed generator units. The key goal for this algorithm is to optimize the savings by reducing the loss. The PSO-DA approach is employed with IEEE 33 and 69-bus test system. (C) 2019 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
