Magnetic polaritons at the junction of two magnetic superlattices

Localized magnetic polaritons at the junction of two magnetic superlattices (ferromagnetic/non-magnetic) coupled by the ferromagnetic layer are investigated in the framework of the electromagnetic wave theory in the Voigt geometry. The general dispersion relation for localized magnetic polaritons are derived in the long-wavelength limit. The dispersion curves and frequency region of the existence of the localized magnetic polaritons for the different parameters of the superlattices and contact layer are calculated and then discussed. The obtained results confirm the possibility of effective control of the dispersion characteristics of magnetic polaritons in considered structures and perspectivity of application of such systems for the creating of the adjustable devices in spin-wave electronics.
