Multimedia information and communication - Infrastructures, technologies and applications

Subject of the contribution is an analysis of internet ressources concerning the topic ''multimedia''. This topic is understood as immaterial products, services and the corresponding IT-infrastructure in the context of the structural change towards information society. The analysis is based on information in German and English. Bs an overview economic aspects of multimedia information systems including legal aspects and information from the job-market, will be presented. Furtheron the IT-basics of these systems are given as foundations for its design, development and use in the industry and the public sector.
