摘要
The aim of this paper is to analyze the internationalization process of Chinese firms in the United States; in particular, four successful cases - Haier Group, Chunlan Group Corporation, Galanz Group Co. Ltd and TCL Corporation. Our purpose is to find out if general internationalization patterns are applicable, and to see whether our finding is consistent with the Uppsala model. We find that although the extents of internationalization of these corporations are not consistent with each other, the FDI activities in the United States still obey the establishment chain of Uppsala model. But psychic distance plays an unclear role in the internationalization location selections of these four corporations, which is not consistent with Uppsala model.
