Single spin beam asymmetry measurements from single π° electroproduction in the Δ(1232) resonance region

摘要
New measurements of the electroproduction of the Delta(1232) resonance through p((e) over right arrow ,e'p)pi(0) reaction have been performed. The data were taken with the CEBAF Large Acceptance Spectrometer (CLAS) at Jefferson Lab. Single spin beam asymmetries were measured over a range of four-momentum transfer Q(2)=(0.3 - 0.9 GeV2). The high statistical accuracy of this data set provides new and unique information on the interference between resonant and non-resonant amplitudes, and is expected to provide strong constraints on dynamical models of the N --> Delta transition form factors. A preliminary multipole analysis will be presented.
