Homogeneous hypersurfaces in complex hyperbolic spaces have been classified by Berndt and the third author in 2007. In this expository paper, we review some recent results on homogeneous submanifolds in complex hyperbolic spaces, which have been obtained after that. Three topics will be mentioned. The first one is the geometry of Lie hypersurfaces, including a classification of Ricci soliton ones. The second topic is weakly reflective submanifolds, of which we construct uncountably many new examples. The last one is an announcement of a result on cohomogeneity two actions on the complex hyperbolic plane.
