Studies of OH- absorption and optical absorption spectra in LiNbO3:Mg,Ti crystals

摘要
The OH- absorption spectra and the UV absorption edges of LibO(3):Mg,Ti crystals have been measured. It is shown that Ti doping raises the Mg doping threshold level, and shifts the absorption edge towards longer wavelengths. The results can be explained by the formation of Mg-Li(2+) - Ti-Nb(4+) pairs after all antisite defects Nb-Li have been replaced.
