摘要
Recent trends in the market of corrugated board towards considerably lower basis weights have led to new machine concepts for the production of containerboard. Economic aspects call for higher machine speeds and, as a consequence, for higher paper quality standards without allowing a better quality of the raw material. This article reviews consequences of these trends on paper machine concepts as well as effects of process parameters on quality parameters of the paper grades in question.
