The new Immigration law

This article reviews generally the provisions of the Immigration and Nationality Act, as amended by the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986 (IRCA), which impacts corporate employment practices and the hiring and intracompany transfer of foreign nationals. In addition, it highlights related provisions from the Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act of 1996 (IIRIRA), Pub. L. No. 104-208, which President Clinton signed into law on September 30, 1996.
