A single-stage pulse tube cryorefrigerator and its application

A single-stage pulse tube cryorefrigerator, Model PT60, has been developed and commercialized at Cryomech, Inc. The PT60 employs a double-inlet configuration and features a compact system design. It has a bottom temperature of 28 K and a cooling capacity of 60 W at 77 K with an input power of 3 kW. The meantime between maintenance of the PT60 is expected to be >20,000 hours. The PT60 has been incorporated into a portable liquid nitrogen plant with a liquefaction rate of 14 liters/day.
