摘要：
The object of the research was to find examples of product designs which communicate effectively with the user and also to collate case histories which demonstrate why this is very important. The initial findings from the studies are being used to develop a prototype Multimedia design tool that will aid designers to address these issues. The paper will, in itself be a call for contributions to the database.
