A thermally derived and optimized structure from ZIF-8 with giant enhancement in CO2 uptake

摘要
We report a new, simple and versatile method to obtain highly active MOF structures by carefully controlled post-synthesis thermal annealing. The active ZIF-8 structure shows highly enhanced CO2/N-2 selectivity and a stable cyclic CO2 uptake of >= 1.5mmol g(-1) at 1 bar and 25 degrees C with a heat of adsorption of >= 30 kJ mol(-1), which is over 100% greater than approximate to 0.7 mmol g(-1) and approximate to 17 kJ mol(-1), respectively of ZIF-8.
