The origin of new high-temperature superconductor PuCoGa5 and, its implications

摘要
We examined possible pairing bosons in PuCoGa5. We found that the antiferromagnetic (AFM) spin-fluctuation scattering is most consistent with the experimental data of resistivity p(T), successfully explaining the anomalous temperature dependence at low temperatures [similar to T-4\(3)] as well as the saturation behavior at high temperatures. The extracted characteristic energy scale of spill fluctuations (omega(sf)similar to 150K) and the dimension less coupling constant lambda similar to 3-4 are consistent with the experimental T-c = 18.5K of PuCoGa5 and predicts a d-wave-like unconventional pairing symmetry. Our prediction is confirmed by the recent NMR experiments [N. Curro, et al., Nature 434 (2005) 622]. (c) 2006 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
