On-line sample concentration technique: sweeping was applied for the chiral separation of LB20304 in micelle capillary electrophoresis using chiral crown ether as chiral selector. Conditions such as the proportion of organic additive, the concentration of surfactant. and the ways of injection were optimized. When the experiments were carried out in an uncoated fused silica capillary (37 cm x 51 mu m i.d., effective length 30 cm) under the following conditions: background solution of 45 mmol/L Bis-Tris + 10 mmol/L dedecyl trimethylammonium bromide(DTAB) + 1 mmol/L chiral crown ether + 11% acetonitrile (pH = 4.0); detection wavelength 280 nm; runing voltage - 10 kV and electrokinetic injection, 600 similar to 700 fold enhancement could be achieved. The RSD was less than 4.0% (n = 7) when the concentration of sample was 0.3 mu mol/L. This research may be a novel method for the detection of trace chiral medicines.
