摘要
In order to generate synthetic seismograms including effects of attenuation (forward Q-modeling) or to remove such effects from seismograms (inverse Q-filtering), an 'attenuation filter operator' (or Q-filter) can be used. In this study, an algorithm for Q-filtering in recursive form is proposed. The Q-filter in a recursive form has some advantages. A recursive one-dimensional Q-filter (RQF) can be designed and applied in the Fourier or Hartley domains. The application of the RQF in the Hartley domain saves large amounts of computation time.
