摘要
The anisotropic self-aggregation of an anthracene derivative through π-π interactions in nematic and smectic liquid crystals was investigated. A dialkoxy anthracene was demonstrated to gelate biphenyl liquid crystals (LC) by one-dimensional self-assembly in their LC state. It was found that the formation of oriented fibers was induced not by the rubbing treatment itself but by the anisotropic environment of the LC media.
