摘要
The use of hypergraph theory in engineering and image processing is discussed. Hypergraphs are the natural generalization of graphs, and are divided into undireted and directed graphs. The characterization problem of the neighbourhood hypergraphs with Helly property is also discussed. Algorithms are also discussed which are used to solve low-level image problems such as segmentation, edge detection and noise cancellation. The relation between hypergraph theory and image analysis is also discussed.
