摘要
The aim of this work was to show maternal and fetal outcome by the retrospective analysis of post-term births and to make conclusion for the further termination of these births. In the period from 1993 to 1999 all post-term births greater than or equal to42 weeks of gestation were analyzed except for multiple pregnancies and stillbirths. The control group consisted of the equal number of accidentally chosen term deliveries (37 to 41 weeks of gestation) that satisfied the same conditions. In the examined period there were 22119 deliveries out of which 828 (3.74%) were post-term. 162 (19.56%) post-term births were induced. PGE2 induction was significantly higher in the examined group. Significantly greater number of post-term births was terminated with vacuum extractor (5.19%) and caesarean section (13.04%). The number of newborns with Apgar score pound7 at first minute in post-term group was significantly higher. There was no fetal mortality in partu and post partum. In maternal morbidity there was significantly greater number of anemiae.
