The department of Physical and Sports Education in high school centers: notes for study and development

The recent process of admission to Secondary Education Professor Group in Castilla y Leon (Spain) has revealed a clear lack of bibliographic and documentary resources on the Didactic Departments of Secondary Education centers. The purpose of this paper will be to address the exercise of the Head of the Physical Education Didactic Department, developing the aspects that are considered essential from the official call, and that include the dynamization of the department itself, the management of the teaching staff, the participation in the life of the center and the resolution of conflicts. Undoubtedly, the development of all of them can be applied to any specialty in the field of Secondary Education.
