Hyperfine structure of infrared transitions in LiYF4:Er3+

摘要
We report the fist observation of the resolved nuclear hyperfine structure in the I-4(15/2) --> I-4(13/2), I-4(11/2) infrared transitions of LiYF4:Er3+. The hyperfine structure totals similar to 0.2 cm(-1) and is due to the odd Er-167 isotope. The infrared transitions Er isotope. The peculiarities of the hyperfine structure in optical spectra of an ion with an odd number of electrons are discussed. Our calculations using crystal field wave functions well describe the observed hyperfine structure of LiYF4:Er3+. (C) 1999 Published by Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
