Research on Method for Moving Shadow Detection

In the field of video tracking, the shadow will seriously interfere with the moving foreground extraction. As the moving shadow recognition has always been an inevitable topic in the video tracing field, this paper researches three kinds of traditional shadow detection algorithm and some improvement ideas and methods, and analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of various algorithms by algorithm principle and experiment result. For different application scenarios, this paper gives suggestions to select the appropriate shadow recognition algorithm according to the algorithm differences.
