Acoustic surface waves in a two-electron component plasma

摘要
The TM-mode surface-wave dispersion relation for a two-electron component plasma consisting of cold electrons and Boltzmann-distributed hot electrons is derived by;two different method: the conventional matching method and the specular reflection procedure. The latter can clarify unambiguously the presence or absence of surface charge in a thin layer about the interface. The spectrum of the electron acoustic surface wave is similar to the ion acoustic surface wave in an ordinary electron-ion plasma.
