摘要
Entrepreneurship has evolved in line with the Malaysian government's desire which encourages the younger generation to not only depend on the work that has been existing in the government or private institutions. Respondents in this study consisted of 121 students from the third semester diploma program in premier polytechnics in Malaysia, they were selected as research samples using random sampling method. This research used the questionnaires with 5 Likert scale scores to identify the students' interest towards entrepreneurial career. The data were analysed using Independent Samples T-Tests and Pearson correlation, then were performed with SPSS version 16. This study found that there are significant differences towards entrepreneurial career based on gender and background studies among premier polytechnic students. However, this study also found that the informal entrepreneurship subject/course does not necessarily attract a student towards entrepreneurial career. In addition, this study obtained that there is a relationship between the environment and the interest of a premier polytechnic students in Malaysia towards entrepreneurial career.
