摘要
A novel control methodology for automated residential demand-side management (RDSM) is proposed. The methodology utilises the time dimension of consumer power demand to generate a meaningful energy characteristic for each controllable household load. It is supposed that consumer preferences can be reflected entirely within the energy characteristic and hence controlling loads based on energy will result in better outcomes for the consumer. Hence guarantees can be placed on consumer satisfaction, while still near-optimally scheduling the resultant power flows. Simulation results for each second in a day are provided in MATLAB/ Simulink for 7 typical New Zealand houses, and show that consumers with electric vehicles can save approximately 17% of their power bill without sacrificing comfort using practical time-of-use pricing rates.
