摘要
SeKo* is a project of social interest at the national level. Its whole character is expressed through the participation of various national and international institutions as well as the civic society. With the main objective of executing a massive campaign, strategically conceived for the formation and diffusion in the field of environmental education and, to constitute a theoretical and practical instrument for the common citizen on the basics of this topic, it will serve to identify and sensitize to all Costarricans about their environment and their compromise to built a sustainable society. This strategically framed television campaign, will be developed through a series of 1 minute documentaries in a first phase, and longer ones on a second phase. It is expected to promote an educational process on sustainable development, environmental ethics, and principles and values consequent with the modern ecological culture, in order to induce a change of attitudes toward the conservation of the biodiversity and the rational use of the natural resources in Costa Rica. * SeKo is an Indian word of the Bribri native language that means "our place", "our environs, "our space", "our time". The Bribri and Cabecar Indians, have lived for thousands of years in the Talamanca territory, the Costa Rica's most important and extensive mountainous region. They have preserved and use its natural resources in a sustainable way. Sustainable Development is a millenary true in Talamanca. The project focuses on four major areas of action: a) The conceptual and theoretical dimension of the national and international policies on conservation and sustainable development,, b) The practical dimension of sustainable development: concrete projects, successes and failures. c) The environmental dimension: biodiversity, natural wealth and current related issues and finally, d) The human phase of sustainable development and our ecological culture. SeK6 is an interactive project of research and action, base in a participatory methodology, that will guarantee the intrinsic scientific criteria as well as the local and national expectations regarding its immediate reality.
