摘要
The BAS Institute for standardization of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BAS) is the national (state) standardization body established under the Law on the Establishment of the Institute for Standardization of Bosnia and Herzegovina ("Official Gazette of BiH", No. 44/04) and the Law on Standardization of Bosnia and Herzegovina ("Official Gazette of BiH", No. 19/01). Institute is responsible for the preparation, adoption and publication of national standards, in accordance with the objectives and principles underlying BiH national standardization. In addition to the standardization activities, the Institute works on conformity assessment in the field of explosion protection in potentially explosive areas. These tasks are carried out by ExCommission whose secretary general is permanently employed at the Institute. The Institute was established and an information center. The Institute is engaged in the sale of standards as well. Within its jurisdiction, Institute is continually accomplishing its goals and objectives and actively participates in the representation of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the European and international standardization organizations. In this paper we will look at the importance of the process of preparing, adopting and publishing standards and other standardization documents, participate in the work of international and European committee/subcommittee.
