摘要
The complexity of modern industrial plants is increasing and the conception of maintenance management is now considered a key element for the improvement of operation and safety, cost reduction, increase of availability, increase of lifespan, etc. So, it is necessary to use the computer tools offered by the market called computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS). The set up of this tool in an industrial plant, besides the advantages that it can contribute when treated correctly, has costs associated with each of the stages of the set up process; an incorrect selection of a CMMS can reverberate in relevant costs for industrial plants having considered a strategic decision. For these reasons, an evaluation system for the selection of computerised maintenance management software in industrial plants using multicriteria methods has been developed. This system will facilitate the activities of the planner of the system, as well as avoiding the problems that an erroneous selection of the software brings, since the CMMS will adapt to the conditions and utilities needed by the industrial plant in these computer packages.
