摘要
Convergence is taking place across networks especially in telecommunication networks, In order to make an evolution to Next Generation Network (NGN) and boost the average revenue per user (ARPU), network operators and service providers try their best to roll out more multimedia services based on the IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS). IMS presents an intelligent and fined approach to deliver multimedia services, hut it also brings complexities at the same time. Service Delivery Platform (SDP) refers to a platform which enables the efficient creation, deployment, execution, orchestration and management of services and it can integrate legacy systems easily and flexibly. With the advent and development of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), the next generation SDP architecture enables operators and their partners to develop end-user services once and deploy them over multiple underlying network architectures, which can also convert their users into service or content providers under the environment of Web2.0. This paper introduces the evolution of SLIP, analyzes new features and conceptual model of the next generation SDP. Finally this paper discusses related technologies and predicts its development trend as well.
