摘要
The purpose of this thesis is to find out the reasons why Chinese adults' English level (Ranks 36) is worse than South Korean (Ranks 21) and Japanese (Ranks 22) adults' on EF EPI (English Education/English Proficiency Index) 2012 basis. The author consulted a large number of literatures and analyzed, compared them by scientific methods like literature search, functional analysis and experience summary, etc. The findings are that reasons for their English level differences result from the differences in these aspects such as national consciousness, national language features, country's actuality, curriculum design and government support and so on. The research objectives of the thesis have gone beyond the domestic similar studies whose conclusions are always for serving the school English education in China; while this one focuses on the English impact on adults' careers after school education. And it is also the first time that such an opinion was presented in the similar researches in China.
