Excitonic-biexcitonic polaritons - New quasiparticles in semiconductors

摘要：
The existence of new quasiparticles in semiconductors, formed by the coupling of photons with excitons and biexcitons, is theoretically predicted. This elementary excitation (excitonic-biexcitonic polaritons) manifests itself as a common pole of photon, and two- and four-particle electron-hole Green functions. The dependence of the dielectric function on the existence of biexcitons is discussed in the case of Z(12) exciton resonance of CuBr.
