Nina Bouraoui or the difficulty to construct an identity

The article analyzes Nina Bouraoui's search for identity through the evolution of her novels. It studies the conflict that arises from her belonging to two different cultural and sexual traditions. Bouraoui seems to want to remain in the territory of the undefined and in the space of l'entre-deux. Her narrative enables her to contradict and undermine social and literary obstacles, giving rise to a territory in which the kaleidoscope of her identity is reconstructed as she perceives it.
