摘要
The influence of Ni3Al (gamma') precipitate size on the tensile properties of nickel-base single crystal superalloys was studied. For single crystal superalloys, the main contribution to the yield stress arises from the Orowan stress in the gamma channels. According to Orowan mechanism, a constitutive model based on crystal plastic theory was introduced to characterize the influence of precipitate size on the yield strength of single crystal superalloys. The tensile simulations of [001] and [111] Oriented specimens were carried out. The yield strength of single crystal superalloys with precipitate size varying from 0.2 to 2.5 lam was calculated and the simulation results agree with the experiments. This constitutive model is shown to accurately simulate the size effects in the nickel-base single crystal superalloys.
