摘要
The development of neutron detectors is often accompanied by the use of expensive materials (gas-filled counters and scintillators). An alternative material used to register neutrons is lithium silicate glass. The developed neutron detector based on this material can serve as the optimal solution between price and efficiency. The accumulated theoretical data from previous studies on lithium silicate glass were applied to the practical implementation. As a result, the developed neutron detector has a detection efficiency of 5.2%. Further research is needed to improve the efficiency of the device. It is possible both to make additions to the design of the device, and to replace it with other scintillation systems.
