Electrohydrodynamic stability in self-gravitating streaming compound jets

The effect of an axial uniform electric field on self-gravitating dielectric streaming compound jets is studied linearly. The jets are immersed in a dielectric motionless gas. The stability conditions of the non streaming case are obtained. Numerical applications are discussed for all axisymmetric and asymmetric modes of the perturbations. Ln the case of compound jets with a periodic velocity, the method of multiple time scale is used to study the system stability. Transition curves are obtained in the resonance cases. The case of a single jet is discussed as a special case.
