Decision support systems, human factors and hypointegrated enterprises

The modern enterprise is a large scale system characterized by the dynamic cooperation of several parts of independent companies and by the process of the weakening of the structural hierarchical links within each company. In this context the various people make co-decisions and are dynamically grouped in virtual teams which are spread beyond department and companies boundaries. New types of decision problems are considered and the problem solving processes are based on communication. In crisis situations, internal models of the environment are recommended.
