Stability studies on the water-soluble β-cyclodextrin [60]fullerene inclusion complex

摘要
[60]Fullerene was found to form an inclusion complex with beta-cyclodextrin, which formed a stable yellow-colored solution in water. The stability constant of the 2: 1 complex, measured from absorbance measurements and using the Benesi-Hildebrand equation, was found to be 1.69 x 10(5) dm(6) mol(-2). The 2:1 composition of the inclusion complex was confirmed by thermogravimetric analysis.
