Our Ancients wrote in blood, we intend to write with pens

The article deals with the educational facilities set up within the Licenciatura Intercultural do Sul da Mata Atlantica, a higher education program for indigenous students, opening up the university space to "traditional" knowledge. The article contextualizes struggles for indigenous land and rights and sheds light on how, despite its institutional character, the program manages, through its teaching tools, to avoid essentializing cultures and identities.
