A new performance analysis of STBC under CDMA multiuser environment

摘要
In this paper, we introduce a new solution to analyze performance of Space-Time Block Coding (STBC) under rayleigh fading channels for CDMA Mutiuser Enviroment. We consider a typical downlink CDMA system with N transmit antennae and M receive antennae. We derive a new expression of BER for STBC and compare it with conventional Maximum Ratio Combination (MRC) technique having M*N diversity order. We find that STBC provides not only the same diversity gain as MRC, but the additional coding gain. So STBC appears better performance than MRC when taking Near-far situation into account.
