摘要
A trial involving simultaneous extraction of two slices opposite each other in a bord and pillar panel of a coal mine was carried out to reduce idle time of loading machines. The support system was primarily roof bolting and roof exposure in the working area was larger than normally permitted in Indian coal mines. The trial involving 43 pillars was successfully completed. The paper outlines strata behaviour observed.
