Interactive multimedia and teacher trainer for French as a second language: Program evaluation

摘要
In order to promote reflective teaching amongst preservice teachers specializing in the teaching of French as a second language (FSL), our research group has developed an interactive multimedia program. In the program, the content is delivered by means of scenarios filmed in an FSL teaching and learning context and stored in a CD-ROM format. Each scenario demonstrates a problem to solve and encourages the user to reflect on it. This article presents the results of a formative evaluation of the conception and the use of interactive multimedia. The formative evaluation offers several suggestions for research questions focused on the development and use of multimedia technology in FSL teacher training.
