Historical equipment collections - A report of the SMPTE Archival Papers and Historical Committee

The mission of the Archival Papers and Historical Committee is "to collect facts and assemble data relating to the historical development of the motion picture and television industries, to encourage pioneers to place their work oil record in the,form of papers for publication in the Journal, and to secure equipment and materials of historic significance for placement in suitable depositories. "This report, in addition to featuring the committee's research on some interesting historical equipment collections, explains how the committee will follow several paths to achieve the goals of its mission.
